ENTRY FEES
Masai Mara national reserve Entry fees are charged basing on the location of the accommodation option (camp or safari lodge) you choose to stay at during the Masai Mara safari.

These Masai Mara entry fees apply to the Main Masai Mara national reserve, the Narok side as well as Mara conservancies situated on the western corridor of the reserve.
Note:
- These fees are valid for 24 hours and are paid per person
- Persons under the age of 18 are considered children and are required to pay child rate.

Campsites in Masai Mara national reserve are of 2 kinds that is private campsites and public campsites, these campsites are as follows

Each and every individual accessing in Masai Mara national reserve including campers need to hire 2 rangers for the purposes of night – time security, it is mandatory to have rangers and they are charged as follows.

Note:
Fines in Masai Mara national reserve must be paid at rangers’ office before departing from the reserve and make sure you obtain a receipt of payment. Failing to pay the fines can result into banishment from Masai Mara national reserve for a period of 6 months depending on the offense thus .
CATEGORIES OF RATES IN MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
- Citizen rates
Citizen rates in Masai Mara national reserve are applicable to tourists who are residents of Kenya and East Africa community countries that is Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda.
- Resident rates
Resident rates are applicable to foreigners who are reside in Kenya and are in possession of working permits or residence permits, residents are required to present valid passport and work permits which are issued by the government of Kenya to thrill while on Kenya Safaris Tours .
Note: Residents with no valid passport or National IDs will be required to pay for nonresident rates.
- Child rates
Child rates are applicable to visitors of the reserve from the age of 3 to 11 years old, persons below the age of 3 years are free of charge.
- Student rates
Student rates are applicable to individuals visiting Samburu national reserve for research and learning purposes, the individuals are to be aged to 23 years old and are on a trip sponsored by a recognized education institution. Students have to get a student clearance from the ticketing office of Masai Mara national reserve in Narok. To be granted special student rates, the institution has to send a letter describing their trip to the authorities of Masai Mara.
HOW TO PAY/MODE OF PAYMENT
Entry fees to Masai Mara national reserve are paid in form of US Dollars and Kenya Shillings are also accepted, cashless modes are accepted using Visa, MasterCard and the local Kenyan Mpesa phone payment.
Prepayment methods are also accepted in Masai Mara national reserve, this is a way of obtaining tickets in advance, these tickets are got through the KAPS Company located in the Kato Office along Longonot Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
