Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali City Tour

Stop At: Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kigali, Kigali Province
Picked up at the Airport by our Driver guide, our private car will drive you to the Hotel for luggage’s deposit. The tour will start at  the top of Mt. Kigali for views of the city and the countryside, a milk bar, Richard Kant House visit, a neighborhood market, Arts work visit, a great Rwandan lunch, the best coffee around, a neighborhood walk and ends at the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Our tour ends around 2:30pm at The Kigali Genocide Memorial.  We highly recommend visiting the Memorial or go back to the hotel .

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe

Stop At: National Museum of Rwanda, Butare, Southern Province
Depart from Kigali; en-route visit some historical sites on the main road like Kamegeri’s rock, Nyanza King Palace, National Museum of Rwanda. Overnight at Gisakura Guest House.
Duration: 8 minutes

Day 3: Nyungwe National Park

Stop At: Nyungwe National Park, Butare, Southern Province
Early breakfast (4:45am)and proceed on  trekking, you may go for the Canopy Walkway follows. This is 50 meters above the ground level, and 200 meters long. The dizzying platform is above a steep and deep valley across a massive forest. The hanging platform which allows visitors to view different animal species in Nyungwe forest spreads over hundreds of square meters and will allow visitors to be at the “eye-to-eye level” with different primate species, and many bird species, all of which are fond of inhabiting the upper scales of the forest.

Day 4: Transfer to Karongi

Stop At: Lake Kivu, Kibuye, Western Province for a boat drive

Day 5: Transfer to Musanze with Visits to Twin Lakes

Stop At: Virunga National Park, Ruhengeri, Musanze District, Northern Province
Transfer to Musanze. En-route visits the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Overnight at recommended hotel.

Day 6: Gorillas Trekking

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Ruhengeri, Musanze District, Northern Province
Early breakfast (5:30am); start gorilla trekking procedures at 7:00am at the park headquarters. After gorilla trekking, refresh and for a courtesy visit to Karisoke Research center
Duration: 8 minutes

Day 7: Cultural Experience

Stop At: Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, Kinigi, Musanze District, Northern Province
Duration: 5 minutes

Day 8: Transfer to Rubavu

Stop At: Congo Nile Trail, Rubavu, Western Province
Transfer to Rubavu, Gisenyi, Do Tea factory at Pfunda Tea Factory.  Swimming is optional in the lake. Overnight at your Hotel

Day 9: Transfer to Kigali

Stop At: Kigali City Tower, Kigali, Kigali Province
En route from Gisenyi, guests will visit different touristic places accordingly mainly the Kirenge Cultural Village in Rulindo District. Before reaching Rulindo, visitors will have an opportunity to see coffee plantations in Gakenke District. En route do shopping. Check arts market for more souvenirs.and transfer to the Airport.
